Double page spread analysis!
This double page spread has the masthead being a quote, this is bold and edgy to fit with the genre of the magazine, this is very successful as it makes the reader want to read the rest of the interview. The picture is across one full page it is a medium close up shot, which is effective because this who you are reading about. The beginning of the text introduces the artist, stating what they've achieved and what there working on now. This text is in bold, this explains a bit about the artist. The interviewer asks questions that the audience would want to know. The text is in columns making it easy for the reader. In this particular double page spread the text is quite small.
This double page spread uses the same features. As the article starts of with a quote in bold writing the font fits with the theme of the magazine as it isnt smooth and soft its bold and edgy, this text is in columns but it is at the top of the page. The main focus point is the image which is of the band, the pictures are in black and white to give it an authentic theme, the pictures are of the band playing intruments or singing this would let the reader know what they were reading if this was their first time buying this magazine.
This double page spread takes a different approach, one whole page is taken up by a picture while the text is on the other page. It is very simple in the way it is set out with the text in colunms and only one picture. The text opens with the artists name 'pink' which is not much bigger than the rest of the text. The colours used are also very simple in able for you to clearly read the text.
