contents pages are important as they are breif explanation to what is going to be in the magazine. They usually have the subject and the number page its on, that is always listed making it easy to read.
They usually have pictures of the main subject to let people know whats going to be in the magazine.


This particular magazine is NME. A magazine that includes an alternative/indie genre of music.

It then uses succesful advertising techniques an offer saying subscribe today this also works as it makes people feel they are saving money. The text is listed down one hand side of the page in a way that is clear to read. Each subject is in bold writing allowing the reader to pick out the bit they ecspecially want to read this makes it easier for the reader again making the reader buy this particular magazine. The picture included on the contents page is about one of the storys in the magazine with a bold title to get across the information that is needed. The colours are also kept the same as this is the same in every issue in order for the audeince to become familier with the nagazine, making them want to buy it weekly.















Kerrangs contents page!

This contents page is from the magazine Kerrang, this contents mainly consists of pictures, they are of artists that are been published in the magazine, the pictures are strong and striking this is important, the masthead "Contents" is clear at the top of the page this is so the audience know what page it is. The colours that are used are also important for example the colour black is used often in the magazine as it has connotations to the rock genre. The genre is also shown through the pictures as the artists are covered in tatoos and piercings this lets the audeince know exactly what they are reading. The text is down one hand side of the page as this is a succesful connotation to a contenst page.

Q magazine contents page!

Q magazine uses the same techniques that the other magazines have used in their contents pages. As these are all very succesful magazines because of the techniques they use. Everything they do has an effect on the reader making them want to buy it. Q magazine again has the text down one hand side of the page making it easy for the reader as it is clear and points you to the page that you want to read. The pictures are clear and approriate to that weeks issue. The colours also are part of the theme that is used in every issue.
